Italy has been part of my work since 2017, and every time I return I understand why so many couples choose it for their wedding. I’ve had the privilege of photographing nine weddings across the country — from the canals of Venice and the shores of Lake Garda in the north, to Rome, the Tuscan hills of Petrognano, the Adriatic coast of Sirolo, and the quiet elegance of San Floriano del Collio and Trieste.

Each region has its own light, its own pace, its own character — and that’s what makes Italy so endlessly interesting to work in as a documentary photographer. I don’t direct or stage — I follow the day as it unfolds, and in Italy, the days tend to unfold beautifully.
