Chile

Chile is where my story as a wedding photographer began. My first wedding was in San Bernardo in 2009, and over the following fifteen years I’ve photographed 135 weddings across the country โ€” more than anywhere else in the world, and the foundation on which everything else I do is built.

The geography alone makes Chile extraordinary to work in. I’ve photographed weddings in Santiago and the surrounding valleys โ€” Cajรณn del Maipo, Casablanca, Colchagua, Linderos, Pirque โ€” and also far beyond the capital: in the fishing villages and misty islands of Chiloรฉ, the lake district around Puerto Varas and Puyehue, the coastal hills of Valparaรญso and Olmuรฉ, the surf town of Pichilemu, and the ski slopes of Farellones. Each region has its own light, its own landscape, its own way of celebrating.

Although I’m now based in Berlin and work internationally, I return to Chile every year. It remains the place where I know weddings most deeply โ€” the culture, the families, the light in summer, the way an evening unfolds. If you’re getting married in Chile and looking for a documentary photographer, I’d love to be part of your day.
